The Coleta project proposes a solid waste collection system in buildings in Rio de Janeiro.This system is a positive handling (recycle, reuse, condition properly and move correctly) that brings an opening to a reframing their economic valuation. introduction
In Brazil, the disorderly population growth of large metropolises has grown exponentially, attracted by industrial development. Allied to an extremely consumerist society and with high consumption stimulation policies.
Unfortunately, the bad disposal of this waste generated by us happens and is considered one of the world's ecological problems. Any discarded material, substance, object or good resulting from human activities in society. It is a purely human phenomenon, which generates very serious consequences for our society.
Estimates made by ABERELP based on the historical series show that Brazil will reach an annual waste generation of 100 million tons around 2030. Each Brazilian produces 1.1 kg of waste per day (IBGE). It is unquestionable that consumption is simply part of our society. However, the poor disposal of waste generated is considered one of the biggest ecological problems in the world. According to data from the World Bank, Brazil is the 4th largest producer of plastic waste in the world, with 11.3 million tons, behind only the United States, China and India.
